About Purple Mystic

'Purple Mystic' is a cultivated variety of Psilocybe cubensis originating from wild specimens collected near Plant City, Florida. The variety entered the cultivation community around 2013, when spores from locally collected mushrooms were shared among cultivators who worked to propogate and stabilize the genetics. The name 'Purple Mystic' was associated with the distinctive purple coloration observed in the original wild specimens. As with many cultivated P. cubensis varieties, genetics circulating under this name today may vary in morphology and should not be assumed to represent a single uniform lineage.
